Success Story

“Thank you for helping me walk and getting me ready to go home.”

Mr. Danny Boyce Came to Oakland nursing and rehabilitation for therapy due to an infection in his foot left him non-ambulatory. Mr. Boyce required increased assistance with all aspects of mobility post hospitalization. Initially Mr. Boyce presented with very limited endurance because of the extensive infection that he had. He had a very challenging road for his rehabilitation program due to his impairments. Danny was very motivated to make improvements with his rehabilitation and he worked very hard every day.

After his mobility restrictions were lifted, Danny quickly began walking confidently with the therapy team using his walker. He is now ambulating independently with his walker and working towards his goal of no assistive device at discharge. He will be preparing to return home soon because of his hard work and dedication to his rehabilitation. Way to go Danny!!!
